The cottage retains many original features, including the beams and hay basket in the stable, now a modern fully fitted kitchen. York offers a range of activities, including the historic minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, City Walls and National Railway Museum. Easy access to the main road network means that the North Yorks Moors are a short drive, whilst the coast (especially Scarborough and Whitby) is well worth a visit. The Yorkshire Wolds offer pretty villages with good pubs serving food, and the Dales have unrivalled scenery. Shop 200 yards, pubs and restaurant 150 yards.
