Within walking distance of the Nidderdale market town of Pateley Bridge, and set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this pretty self-catering cottage sleeps a couple in luxurious comfort. The Laundry is ideally situated for walkers on the Nidderdale Way, cyclists or business visitors to Harrogate who prefer an out-of-town place to stay. Horseriding, swimming, fishing and llama trekking are all available nearby. The cottage is within easy reach of the stunning 80-foot How Stean Gorge; Stump Cross Caverns, one of the county's major cave attractions and Fountains Abbey, the National Trust property set within 800 acres of rambling countryside. The village of Pateley Bridge has many shops, cafes and attractions, and the historic towns of Ripon and York are just 12 and 32 miles respectively from the cottage. Nidderdale Way, a scenic circular walk, spanning 53 miles of beautiful Yorkshire countryside starts just in Pateley Bridge, close to the cottage. Set in a peaceful cobbled courtyard, the Laundry Cottage is part of the 17th century Eagle Hall (sorry, the cottage is not suitable for children). There is an abundance of activities close to this lovely relaxing self-catering cottage that provides a superb base from which to explore glorious Yorkshire. |

Accommodation : Catering for a couple in a large double bedroom with a separate en-suite to the main bathroom, The Laundry dates in part from the 17th Century. Accommodation has been fully and sympathetically renovated and brought up to date with underfloor heating throughout, double glazing, a log-burning stove, fully fitted kitchen and two modern bathrooms. The property has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard, retaining many historic features such original stone and oak beams. It offers excellent unique accommodation for a couple in this fabulous location. Enter The Laundry through the hallway, where you'll find space to hang coats - this leads to a separate room with ample dining space for four, a fully fitted kitchen, with gas oven and hob, Butler sink, washer-drier, microwave and dishwasher. Off the kitchen is a modern walk-in shower room, WC and wash hand basin. The lounge has comfortable seating and is equipped with TV/DVD player and stereo, a wood-burning stove, and separate utility room with extra storage and a Butler sink. Upstairs, this lovely Yorkshire cottage has a large double bedroom complete with kingsize bed, deep comfortable mattress and quality bed linen. The bedroom has a separate wc and basin en suite. Set in a peaceful cobbled courtyard complex 500 yards off the road into Pateley Bridge. The Laundry provides flexible accommodation for adults who like a little luxury with their self-catering. What's included : Bed Linen, towels, and electricity. Directions : A1 North or South to Harrogate, then take the Ripley/Summerbridge Road to Pateley Bridge. The cottage is off-road so please call for directions from there. Change over day is flexible. Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10.00 am. New guests are welcome from 2.00 pm. |
