This stone-built characterful barn conversion is tucked away on a working farm, close to the famous Yorkshire landmark Kilnsey Crag. This ‘upside down’ traditional property with the open plan lounge/kitchen on the first floor, is located on the historic Kilnsey Park Estate which offers a great range of activities including horse and pony trekking, fly fishing and angling on their well-stocked lakes. Guests can even enjoy a 10% discount at the trout fishery. There is also a discovery trail with a host of things for children to see and do including alpacas, red squirrels, pigs, angora goats and lambs.
There is a popular cafe and gift shop on site, and also a small shop which caters for basic essentials. Outside there is private patio seating and guests can enjoy the use of a tennis court. Many of the Dales’ most famous tourist locations are just on your doorstep. Grassington is just a short drive away and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and its old cobbled square features an annual festival in summer where you can be entertained by some very famous names, and the popular Dickensian weekends at Christmas.
The bustling market town of Skipton is approximately 12 miles away and has an award-winning high street with shops, a regular street market, pubs and restaurants, overlooked by a Norman castle. The canal runs through here and offers day trips by traditional barge. The town also has a golf course and indoor swimming pool.
