Looking at Cornwall and its position on the map in the south west, as a peninsula, it is 80% surrounded by the sea. This means that at 697km, it presents the longest stretch of coastline in the UK. In fact, no matter where you are in Cornwall, you’ll never be more than 16 miles from the sea.
