This immaculately restored cottage is situated in the hamlet of Golberdon, part of a terrace of 4 tucked away at the rear of the square. It is ideally placed for exploring the countryside by foot, car, on horseback or by bicycle on the numerous cycle tracks which are to be found in Cornwall. Siblyback Lake offers all types of watersports from sailing, windsurfing to angling, and on the river Tamar you can kayak and explore the beautiful Tamar Valley.
This is a fantastic holiday house for exploring the rugged north and beautiful south coasts, being equidistant to both. Cornwall has so much to offer - quaint Cornish fishing villages nestle beside sunny beaches and rocky coves, rolling Atlantic breakers offer exhilarating year-round surfing at Polzeath, Bude and Newquay. Bodmin Moor forms a magical playground, whether you want to gallop across or explore the ancient past. Discover some of the archaelogical history of this gorgeous wilderness - climb up to Rough Tor, one of the highest points, an 18th century site of worship.
Cornwall is a fabulous destination for activities of all kinds: The Eden Project, so much more than a garden, makes a great day out for all the family. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, a reinvention of an actual Victorian Estate, is also nearby. There are many spectacular older gardens and National Trust properties - Cotehele, on the banks of the Tamar, Lanhydrock and Saltram House, are just three. Children will love the National Maritime Aquarium in Plymouth, just half an hour away. Very close by are the attractions of Trethorne Leisure Farm, the Tamar Valley Donkey Park, and Hidden Valley Country Park. And for open air theatre, visit Sterts, which offers a blend of amateur and professional music and drama. The area is accquiring many quality restaurants serving fresh local produce and Cornish ale. There is a Michelin Star standard just minutes away in Callington, and the local pub, the Church House Inn is within walking distance.
The county is a golfers' paradise - the cottage is a short drive from St Mellion, and there are many other challenging 18 hole championship golf courses in the county.

Accommodation:
Rose Cottage is a traditional cottage in a terrace of four, tucked away at the rear of the square in the hamlet of Golberdon. The cottage was completely renovated 5 years ago, and during the work some great features were uncovered and preserved. Slate floors and exposed beams blend with stone walls and a working open fire.
You enter straight into the cosy sitting-dining room where a large open fireplace with original lintel, beamed ceilings and rustic slate floors offers an ideal place to relax and unwind. The fire keeps it cosy on cooler nights.
The kitchen, to the rear, is completely modernised creating a great space to cook. A breakfast bar provides a lovely place to have morning coffee with the newspapers. There are many conveniences - including a stainless steel oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a dining table with seating for 4 - a high chair can be provided.
Also at the rear is the bathroom, with heated towel rail, mains pressure shower, and large bath, perfect for a soak after a day of activity.
From the lounge, stairs lead up to the light, airy bedrooms. In the master suite is a lovely traditional style double bed, while the twin room has 2 comfortable single pine beds. A cot can also be provided if you are travelling with young children. The bedrooms both have window seats, from where you can enjoy views of the garden.
Outside, a small garden and seating area provides a quiet place to sit and relax with a glass of wine, and catch up with the family after a happy day's adventures. For a central location for exploring the whole of Cornwall, the immaculately updated Rose Cottage is the perfect choice.
Directions:
From the M5 follow the A30 towards Launceston. Follow A388 towards Callington, after 8 miles turn left, just before Camelot Kennels. At the T junction turn right and then take the next left. After the crossroads in the village turn right into the square just before the road forks. Rose Cottage has the first parking space.
What's included:
Heating, electricity and logs for the fire are all included in the rental price. All bed linen and towels are provided. Well behaved dog welcome by prior arrangement for a small charge. An outside kennel is available if required. The cottage has a parking space.
Change over day is Saturday and guests are asked to check out by 11am, and check in after 3pm.
Weekly rentals £185 (low season) to £455 (high season). Weekend and short breaks available out of season on request.
