For a car free holiday, the owners are happy to collect and deliver guests to and from the station, and for sightseeing trips, you can take the train into historic Canterbury. Enjoy views from the decking down the valley which is occasionally visited by herds of wild deer. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is an orchid conservation area, and makes a lovely place to visit in any season.

For flower lovers, there are great gardens to visit nearby including the famous gardens at Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Bateman’s, Scotney Castle and Charleston. The town of Wye is 4 miles away and has a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs, with a farmers’ market every other Saturday. There are also two local pubs within walking distance.
