Weekly holiday bookings for Cullernose Cottage run from Friday to Friday from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival until 10.00 am on the day of departure.
£625 - £1365 per week
Short breaks are usually available from November until Easter, excluding Christmas, New Year and the February half term. These are either three night weekend breaks from Friday to Monday or four night midweek breaks from Monday to Friday. Midweek short breaks in low season are priced the same as or less than weekend breaks and offer excellent value.
All prices are in Pounds GB and are fully inclusive of electricity, full central heating, logs, bed linen and towels. We provide one bath sheet and one hand towel per person. Please bring your own beach towels.

Cullernose Cottage is a coastal cottage located in Low Newton by the Sea, a picturesque seaside village in Northumberland. It enjoys an elevated position with views towards the golden sands of the Haven, less than a minute's walk away. Whether you are interested in bird watching, walking, horseriding, visiting the many stately homes and castles in the region, or are just seeking a relaxing beach holiday on the area's choice of gorgeous beaches, this lovely part of Northumberland offers it all. Cullernose Cottage can be rented for a romantic holiday or honeymoon for a couple or works equally well as a family vacation home.

The cottage is close to the heart of the village, with a pub that offers a warm welcome, real ales and fantastic food. A square of cream-washed cottages nestles around the green overlooking the sheltered bay, providing the perfect place for children to build sandcastles, play hide and seek in the dunes or explore the rock pools. It's a haven for all types of watersports and visiting yachts, acclaimed as one of the UK's top ten most picturesque moorings.

The area's also popular with bird watchers due to the easy accessibility of its beach, rocks and bird reserve. To the south, Low Newton beach joins Embleton Bay, from where there are spectacular beach walks to imposing Dunstanburgh Castle, about 5 miles away. Just 3 miles from your country cottage is Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club, one of many fine links courses available in the area.

This quality Northumberland cottage is perfect for touring the surrounding areas - there are fabulous walks around the High Force Waterfall and Hadrian's Wall. And visiting the area's rich heritage is easy - Bamburgh Castle is around 10 miles away from the cottage and stands spectacularly on a peak of basalt, overlooking sensational coastline and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Alnwick Castle, used as the location for Harry Potter's school Hogwarts, is only 10 miles from your cottage. It has wonderful gardens and a gigantic tree house for children to scramble around.

Northumberland makes a fantastic family cycling holiday - make the most of the beautiful scenery and breathtaking coastline, take in some fresh air, and see all the tourist attractions up close in freedom.

Children's bikes, seats and tagalongs are available to hire so you needn't overload the car. Less than an hour from the cottage, horseriding is on offer with all levels catered for. Experienced instructors are on hand to take you on Hill Rides through the Cheviot Hills or Beach Rides along Holy Island's amazing expanse of beautiful beach.

Try something completely different - chauffered trike tours give you the chance to experience the thrill of riding pillion on a fantastic and unique three seater while marvelling at the breathtaking scenery of Northumberland.

This luxury self catering holiday cottage in Low Newton by the Sea is your home from home on Northumberland's Heritage Coast. Completely refurbished in 2007, Cullernose provides bright and airy living accommodation. It is stylishly decorated throughout, and has been furnished to 5 star standards to create an extremely comfortable and relaxing environment with all the modern facilities required for a perfect holiday.

The accommodation comprises: an impressive open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. From the lounge, there are lovely views of the bay via the large picture window. There is a wood-burning stove to create a welcoming environment.

All home comforts are here - flat screen television which comes with Freeview and a hard disc recorder so you needn't miss your favourite series. The cottage also has a DVD, CD, radios and a selection of good books making it an ideal bolthole for curling up in front of the fire on those rainy days.

The kitchen is fitted with quality appliances, including fridge-freezer, washer-drier, dishwasher, Electric 4 ring cooker and every kitchen utensil you could want - so self-catering is easy.

A large master double bedroom with kingsized bed and an en-suite shower room opens out to a south-facing balcony. The second bedroom has twin beds while a third bedroom contains a set of 2 bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with bath where you can luxuriate after a day's walking. An additional separate shower room is equipped with a powerful shower. There is a good supply of piping hot water, underfloor heating and oil fired central heating keeping the property cosy against the elements. The south-facing rear lawned garden is equipped with private patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Free Wi-Fi broadband Internet is included in the rental - just bring your own laptop. Cots and high chairs can be free of charge.

To allow couples to enjoy this stunning cottage at an affordable price, there is a 25% across-the-board discount on all bookings for two guests sharing the same bedroom, including those couples who wish to bring a baby, for whom a cot and high chair is supplied free of charge.
