Sleeping up to four people, the cottage has been tastefully refurbished in 2020 to a very good standard, whilst still providing that homely feel. At the front of the cottage is a small sun room, ideal to sit in with a book or morning cup of coffee. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with comfortable sofa and chair, a kitchen/dining room and a shower room, whilst upstairs are two spacious bedrooms, one with a small en-suite toilet. End Cottage is beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and a selection of quirky artwork throughout by local artists, depicting the humour of days gone by.
Alnwick is a popular tourist destination and offers a wide range of facilities, all within a short 15-minute walk, including independent shops, restaurants and a wide variety of pubs. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Castle, renowned for being the film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. Alnwick Gardens, with its grand cascade waterfall and tree house restaurant, is also well worth a visit.
Heading west brings you to the small picturesque town of Rothbury, which sits nestled at the bottom of the Simonside and Lordenshaw hills.
This is a beautiful place for walkers and cyclists. Visit the National Trust property of Cragside, which is popular with visitors. Also close by you can explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage Coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills.
